Brahmastra 2 shelved? Ranveer Singh back off because of Ranbir Kapoor
Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh experienced his first taste of box office success with Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, following three back to back unsuccessful films. Critics and audiences alike enjoyed the movie, which also starred Alia Bhatt. Ranveer received positive feedback for his performance as usual. The performer is now more careful when deciding which movie to focus on because success has followed three failures. Rumors also suggest that Ranveer, who is confirmed to be starring in Don 3, will be playing Dev’s (Ranbir Kapoor) father in the upcoming Brahmastra sequel. However, rumors suggest that Singh decided to cast Ayan Mukerjis due to Ranbir Kapoor’s reasons.

The above situation does not arise from competition between two actors. There is good chemistry between Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh. The problem is that the shooting of Brahmastra 2 will not start before 2026 as Ayan Mukherjee is busy writing War 2.
Secondly, we all know that the shooting of Brahmastra Part 1 has ended after five long years. Thirdly, Dharam Production is the only production house to promote Brahmastra 2 and is currently working on planning how to make the film on a dedicated budget. The budget of Brahmastra 1 is said to be around Rs 400 crores and the globally collection of the film is estimated to be Rs 431 crores. Till today, we still don’t know if Brahmastra Part 1 will be successful at the box office or profitable. Now Dharma is waiting for another production house to make Brahmastra 2.
Ranveer Singh, who was initially excited to play Dev, is now reconsidering his decision. There is no confirmation on when Brahmastra 2 will release. He also worries whether the planning schedule for Brahmastra 2 will be similar to Part 1. Now the most important thing is how the makers fit two Bollywood actors into a single film.
Ranveer and Ranbir charge a lot of money for their movies. The budget of the film is still a big problem and hiring two actors and suddenly increasing the budget by Rs 100 crore is something the producers do not want to do. Therefore, Ranveer thought it would be better to quit rather than getting involved in a project that has many risks.
